Famous Italian architectural studio Plus Ultra has recently transformed a modest 135-sq m (1453-sq ft) apartment into family home containing 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. The apartment named as DMC Apartment features is a light-filled, flowing interiors that utilizes every inch of the space. In order to maximize the floorspace and squeeze all the desired attributes into the home, the architects have come up with an interior floorplan by eliminating many of home’s hard angles by transforming the corners of the rooms into curved walls.
“Designing a home interior often means becoming ‘curators’ of clients’ private lives, knowing their needs, their desires, and trying to direct them,” says Plus Ultra. “In this project of about 135 square meters, we needed to fit 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a kitchen and a living room. In order to distribute all these environments it was inevitable to transform part of the surface space into a circular direction.”
It features a modest entry, master bedroom with attached bathroom, full bath tub, children playroom with elevated loft-bed and many more. The kitchen has been separated from open living/dining room by adding gorgeous custom-made iron glass feature wall which also allow the natural light to flow in.
Shortly the DMC Apartment is a six room comfortable home for a family of six or seven. It has been furnished so wonderfully that its inhabitants never feel cramped as apartment tall ceilings provide an ample space for everyday living and belonging as well.
