An architectural firm Build tiny was hired by a client to design a guest house at a plot of land in picturesque hilly area of New Zeeland .The firm has built the Cherry Picker tiny house which comprises comfortable airy interior and keeps amazing views.
This is wider than previous Build Tiny homes which offers a wider interior layout. The Cherry Picker Tiny House is constructed on a duel axle trailer, measures 26 ft (8 m) long and 9.5 ft (2.9 m) wide, however, it is over the standard limit to relocate without a permit. The exterior of the home designed in vinyl with cedar, having larger windows fixed at specific locations for great views.
The bedroom keeps a standard tiny house style loft with a low ceiling and offers a king size bed. The bedroom, can be approached by a joined storage staircase which keeps a concealed, propane-powered heating system.
The kitchen offers a stainless steel counter, oven with propane-powered stove, sink and a removable cabinet unit. There’s also a fridge, pull-out pantry, and a small dining table. Drain pipes for washing machine are also installed in the kitchen.
The architect has provided an openable window in the kitchen at deck area side wall for serving food and drinks outside the house, it keeps an additional dining table also. The toilet is approachable by a small sliding door offering wash hand basin, shower, a composite toilet and an outdoor shower also.
The house has painted doors at the front and an additional door at the rear. The doors opens in the living room, which keeps a bookcase made from recycled Rimu wood (a local timber) and a sofa bed. The same wood is used in the shelving and stairs.
The furnished Cherry Picker Tiny House was delivered on turnkey basis at roughly cost of US$ 90,000 ($141,000 NZD).
