We’ve seen so many off-grid tiny homes with larger size which were made for families but those who are in search of tiny home for couple can choose RoadHaus tiny house by Wheelhaus. It’s a pint-sized dwelling with high ceiling and generous glazing and with a small deck as well.
It’s actually a smaller and updated version of Wheelhaus’Wedge house and firm has made it serving as tiny house, backyard office or a guest house. Its size is flexible and measures between 160 to 240 (14.8 to 22.2 sq m).
Owner of the tiny home can get access from the deck through a sliding glass door, then enter into a small living area with couch with a TV mounted on the rustic wall. A kitchenette is also next to this equipped with fridge/freezer, microwave, two-burner stove, sink, cupboard space and shelves for storage of different items. There is a direct access to the bathroom with a tiled shower, sink and toilet.
A bedroom with cozy double-size bed is set at end of the house. There is no loft for sleeping but Wheelhaus says that sloping area of roof allows for small storage loft.
RoadHaus’s frame is steel made and lightweight however exterior is finished with painted cement board siding with black metal trim. Sloping ceiling varies in height between 9 to10 ft but topped by corrugated metal roof.
The home gets power from standard RV-style hookup. Weight varies but max weight is 25000 lb (11,339 kg) as it depends on the size of the model and finished and fixtures chosen by the buyer. Insulation values are R-25 and R-35 for walls and roof respectively. RoadHaus price starts at US$63,500.
