Australian architect and a boat designing expert Chuck Anderson has created a floating luxury villa called Dubbed Lilypad .This specifically designed 100 percent solar powered villa is located in Palm Beach, just an hour drive North of Sydney, to offer an ideal marine residential experience.
The Lilypad villa can be approached by see plane or private self-drive tender. It has a large outdoor terrace, dining space for ten person, lounge area and outdoor umbrella for relaxing in shade. The home is surrounded by timber decking, barbecue and a small diving platform.
Chuck Anderson, director of Little Mill design studio tells “Europe has similar projects that have been sources of inspiration, however, Lilypad is certainly one-of-a-kind. Completely powered by solar, it has no fuels on-board, yet luxury and function are not compromised one bit.”
“I wanted to break the mold and have people experience all the amazing things that come with being on the water, but then not skimp on the fit-out and finishes of the interior,” continues Anderson.
The home is cladded in timber and have 10.5 Feet high folding glass door to open the interior onto the exterior space. A timber floored large lounge area having leather sofa and flat screen television has been provided. Adjoining the lounge area is a full size modern kitchen with a large window offers beautiful view of Palm Beach. At first floor, a master bedroom for two adults is provided for peaceful sleeping .The home feature a master bathroom having designer shower, toilet and basin also.
This achievement of Chuck Anderson is looks like a two story modern compact home, it offers guests the opportunity to stop and enjoy the beauty of surroundings. This floating villa can be anchored instead of traveling through the waters and can be moved around or relocated but now it is sitting within its peaceful location.
The villa can be availed by couples for events and overnight stays, accommodation starts from AUD 1854(about USD1270 ) per night including a private self-drive tender, breakfast, dinner ,the use of onboard stand up paddle boards, fishing gear and 24 hour service.
