When you have all the required materials, you can start your DIY paper flower project by following the steps below.
In the first step, you have to cut one stripe of yellow tissue paper which should be 1 inches wide and 10 inches long. Along with that, cut 2 more pieces of the same yellow tissue paper which should be 2 inches square.
Once you have done that, now crumple one piece of square tissue paper into a small ball. Attach that ball with the wire and get the other 2-inch square tissue paper. Place that paper on the ball and twist the ends of the paper downwards around the ball and the wire.
Use the floral tape and twist it around the ends of the square paper which covered the paper ball. Twist the floral tape to the end of the wire.
Now cut the 1″ x 10″ long stripe with the fringe scissors, or simply use the normal scissors. Cut 3/4 of the 1-inch stripe long down the length. Add some glue to the bottom of the paper ball which was attached to the wire and twist it all around. This piece will act as the stamen, use your fingers to make the edges on the end of the stripe.
Now, to make the petals, cut the same tissue paper 4 to 5 pieces each 2.5″ x 2.0″. Then use the scissors to give the proper shape of a petal. To give it natural shape first, crumple the paper into a ball and then open it and fold it in accordion style. Then again unfold it and you will see that you get a natural shape petal.
Add some glue at the bottom of the stems and attach the petals with the flower ball on the wire. Then use floral tape and wrap it all around the wire.
