Basically I’m a villager but since I started my job, I’ve shifted my family to a big city. Once I went to market to buy the garlic. While purchasing the garlic, I was remembering the moments of my school life when we grow garlic at home. Growing fresh fruits and vegetable at home is a good habit. So my today’s post is dedicated to those people who love to grow garlic at home. There are so many ways to grow garlic at home like growing garlic in backyard and growing garlic in pots, growing garlic in planters. But today I’ll tell you how to grow garlic in backyard.
Growing Garlic at home- Step by step
When I was in 7th class we use to grow garlic at home. How we did that let’s discuss.
Preparing the Land for Garlic Cultivation
There was space available in front of my home. We decided to utilize this space for growing garlic. The first step is to prepare the land. We dug the land well with the help of fork. Make a flat level of the soil.
Select a Good kind of Garlic
After preparing the soil, you need to choose a good kind of healthy garlic for garlic plantation. Now divide the garlic into their cloves.
Put the Garlic Cloves in the Soil
We used to draw a line and put the garlic clove in the soil after a distance of approx. 1/2 feet. Now start watering the garlic cultivated area but don’t water too much but so much that soil can absorb it within two hours.
After a week or so on the cloves of garlic will start sprouting.
Garlic Field Hoeing
When the garlic cloves started sprouting then garlic plants should be hoeing mean digging around the plants. Hoeing is an ongoing process to get the good output.
